Wedding Day Treats – For Men

Everyone knows that it has now become the norm for groomsmen to receive a gift on or before the wedding day. The reasons behind this growing trend are many, but the usual reason is just to say ‘thank you’ for helping out on what is probably one of the biggest days in a man’s life, his wedding day.

In days gone by, the groomsmen took a far more active roll in the wedding itself, offering to guard the bride and groom before, and on, their big day. These days it is more of a ceremonial touch with groomsmen taking on the duties of being companions for single ladies, and making sure that everyone is having a good time. Their prime duty is to make sure that the groom is where he is supposed to be at certain times but this may be also the sole duty of the best man. However, all have some small duties to perform, and before they start imbibing! In particular, they are supposed to throw him a party some time before the wedding day to celebrate his last days of freedom. These have been known to get a little wild so for the up and coming husband, choose carefully!

But weddings, particularly these days, have seemed to grow bigger and bigger, each one outdoing the next, with more ‘bling’ added as the fashion grows. Other than buying a house, this is probably the most money anyone will spend for a one day affair! It was traditional for the bride’s father to pay for almost everything for the wedding but these days, the bride and groom tend to throw in some, if not all, the amount needed to make their day go with a swing. So what is the poor groom to do when it comes to giving his guys something that they will treasure and keep?

Perhaps the first thing to do is to decide on what and how much to spend on these special little gifts. Once decided, try shopping around to see if there are any sales on, or if discounts are given on bulk buys. Sometimes, things can be engraved at no extra charge making this a perfect personal gift for individual men.

Sticking to traditional ideas for groomsmen’s gifts may work out to be a little expensive sometimes. Hip flasks and cufflinks used to be the norm, but this would look a bit cheap if, for example, the cufflinks were not made from gold or silver. There are many reasonably priced sets of cufflinks to be found in sterling silver and some have enameled faces of favorite baseball or football teams. Hip flasks are great for engraving and some come in stainless steel (very acceptable) or silver and silver plate, both highly acceptable.

For those who like anything a little quirky, cufflinks come in all kinds of shapes to suit the individual. Imagine that the groomsman loves the sea and all that it can offer. Try giving him surfboard shaped cufflinks. These are not only funny and cute, but elegant too, and a real conversation piece when he just has to put on a suit and tie and go to the office.

The key here, as mentioned earlier particularly if it is a hip flask, is to get it engraved to make it look extra special. Silver or gold cufflinks can also have the initials of the groomsman engraved on and this will truly stand out very nicely.

For those ‘dot com’ executives, which many young and upcoming men are these days, there is a virtual host of gifts available for him. Desk furniture in sleek and elegant designs fit perfectly into the new age life style. Glass clocks, with pen holders, with the name of the recipient engraved on the front, or on a metal plate, set off modern offices perfectly. Even golf cart clocks look cute particularly if he has just discovered the game and is very enthusiastic about all things golf. For those who are not concerned about the cost of gifts, try tucking in a couple of tickets to some up and coming tournament to make it extra special.

Young executive style men always seem to be on the move these days and with this in mind, travel luggage is very acceptable as a gift. Laptop computer bags incorporated into overnight, or weekend, luggage is perfect for those hours spent on stopovers in some foreign airport. These too can be monogrammed to add an elegant touch and come in high tech synthetic materials or traditional soft leather.

Wallets in fine leather also are very acceptable since many people these days opt for synthetic materials. Even gold or silver money clip are rather unique little items and many come with different symbols on the front. How about a bid dollar sign or something like it? These look great when the man reaches into his pocket for money and out comes the ‘bling’ as mentioned earlier. These suit the older generation too so there should be no problem with giving this style of gift, even as a wedding favor to male guests.

If these young men are also on their way to being married, or in serious relationships, one of the most charming gifts on offer are small caricatures of himself and his significant other. All that is needed is a good facial photo of the man and his partner and these can be transformed into delightful little characters set in different scenarios. Perhaps they are into baseball? Then they both get modeled into their favorite team kits. Other scenarios are available and it takes a little background checking sometimes, but it will be worth it in the end. When they see these super little statues that they can keep forever, they will be overwhelmed.

It really is supposed to be a small ‘thank you’ for helping out on the big day and most men will not be so bothered at whatever they receive. However, even small gifts can be somewhat special if it is given with gratitude and respect.

Gifts for Him

When it comes to weddings, and anything to do with them come to that, people start to worry about wedding gifts. What do guests buy for the bride and groom, how do the bride and groom say thank you to their guests, their helpers, and their parents on the big day. The situation has got quite out of hand and many an argument has blown up over what should be a very simple ‘thank you’ gift to those who really wanted to participate in the day itself. The recipients of these gifts would be horror struck if they thought that their gift had cause a rift in the family or between the prospective bride and groom. So, keeping this in mind, try to work out who gets what well before the big day to cut down on the drama.

After the obvious decision about how much to spend, the next big decision is whether to give all the groomsmen the same gift, or to give them each something different. Getting them all the same thing certainly cuts down on the time aspect, but some couples may feel this is too easy and does not convey their feelings towards these special men adequately. After this dilemma has been sorted out then the list of available gifts is absolutely endless.

Personalized gifts are really great here. The gift itself does not have to be very expensive but by adding the name or initials of the recipient it lifts the gift to become more valuable. For example, a plain and simple bathrobe may be rather nice, but put on the groomsman’s initials on the pocket and it becomes completely unique to him. This applies across the board on any gift but to make it even better, and if time permits, try to find out if the family have a crest that shows where they came from. These crests can be emblazoned on practically anything that can be engraved or embroidered.

Indeed, groomsmen’s gifts are rather easier than buying for bridesmaids. Men are really not that bothered about whether they get a gift or not, but if it is something very special then they will be pleased as punch to receive it.

It used to be the done thing to give groomsmen gifts in the form of cufflinks. This is still popular in some parts but with the advent of more casual styles, some may find that this is not really suitable for the groomsmen chosen. However, for those who attend corporate functions then cufflinks would probably be a welcome gift.

To make this gift of cufflinks a little extra special, try having them monogrammed with the groomsman’s initials or family crest. Even birthstones set in the silver or gold will be a complete surprise for the man receiving it. For the less formal man, try getting cufflinks representing their favorite sports. Football team badges, or even surf boards are available and the list is quite extensive. For the up and coming executive, golf related paraphernalia may be a great conversation piece for him to flash at important luncheons.
By doing a little research into the career and background of each individual groomsman, it is easy to personalize his set of cufflinks and make it a treasured gift indeed.

For the more relaxed groomsmen, sets of personalized shot glasses are a great, and funny, gift that they can use forever particularly if they are fond of having parties at home. Even a silver hip flask with his initials on may be a great gift, but not for those who have trouble with alcohol for sure!

Most of the younger generation will be avid travelers and with this in mind, quality luggage is a great gift for anyone. Laptop or overnight bags are a great idea for those who have to travel at a moment’s notice. Again, monograms lift these styles of gifts out of the mundane so consider ordering a little in advance to have this added touch.

Watches are always welcome, particularly if they are of the designer style. This may turn out to be a little expensive if there are multiple groomsmen so the budget is certainly a factor here. However, if the budget is large, then try getting them all the same style of watch but with a different message engraved on the back of each. This makes them all equal but different for sure and really personalizes the gift for each man. This is certainly how treasured memories are made.

Items of jewelry may be a good gift here, but some men don’t like to wear certain pieces. Unless the groom is very familiar with these men, then it may be better to stick to generic gifts that will not be discarded once the day is over. This is particularly true if the bride’s family insist on some of their young men being included in the wedding party. Long lost cousins may not appreciate the style of the bride and groom for sure.

If all the men are well known to the groom, it may be better to give them all a great gift certificate so that they can have fun choosing what they want from the big day. Even weekend retreats have been given as a gift and sometimes men are the most difficult to buy for. Simply giving them just anything is not really the done thing on this important day so choose and study well in advance to take away all the fuss before the big day rolls around.

When choosing to monogram or put crests on gifts there are a couple of things to remember. Leave more time to order these gifts since it will take the suppliers’ time to get all this kind of work done. Once ordered, mistakes cannot be rectified so double check on all the details.

Finally, a gift is supposed to be given with love and appreciation. If this is done, it really does not matter what it cost or what it is.

What is Like and love?

Like is to read at night then suddenly thinking of him, imagining what he is doing now, and heart full of floating warm, but never take the initiative to call him. A few minutes later, attention, once again, is attracted by the plot of the book.but could not enter it, and the heart is always thinking about whether he is still working overtime at this time, whether he has had dinner, whether he is thinking of you as you think of him.

Like is listening to him to talk funny things in his childhood, and then laughed, touched the hearts with inexplicable move.

Love is listening to him talking his childhood, and then smiled but in the heart you have even more pity on such a naughty man.

Like is to come across him in the corridor, happily saying hello to him, and then have a few simple greetings.

Love is to see him in the corridor, put on a face of an indifferent expression, but when you brushing past you can not help but look back.

Like is to see him stroll by with the other girls, and the heart feels a little bit sore, but will stir up smiling soon at the sun.

Love is the game you can not afford to lose, after you pay the full, the left may simply be a wound engraved on the hearts.

Like is thinking about each other only when together. Love, even if it is together, every second you are all missing him.

Like a person, many friends add, you will feel happy. Love one person, is the two people world you will be uncomfortable even one person enters.

Like a person is sweet. Love a person, is “No Sweet without Sweat”.

Like a person, you will not think of your future. Love a person, you always look forward to tomorrow together.

Like a person, the time you are together is always a joy. Love a person, you will always shed tears.

Like a person, you would think that when he has children, you will like him. Love a person, there will be one day, you suddenly are very curious: what our children would look like.

Like one is hoping everyone is happy.

Love a person, you hope that he would be more happy.

Like a person is to see his advantage.

Love a person, is inclusive of his shortcomings.

When you stand in front of the one you love, your heart rate will accelerate. But when you stand in front of the one you like, you can only feel happy.

Using Eye-Tracking Studies to Support Keyword Location

The period of time and the location on which a visitor looks at in your page is a very good indicator of intent and this data can provide you with information on how relevant your site is for a particular visitor. There of course remains the question of how exactly do you find out where a visitor looks. It so happens that our technology is advanced enough to do just this. Eye tracking systems, or ETS, work by having tiny cameras mounted on a headset monitor and track eye movements and convert these movements into data, all while the test subject is viewing a website. Invisible and harmless infrared lights are bounced using special optics into the retina's back and some mathematics involving angular differences are calculated that will convert these signals into a two-dimensional plot.

Possible uses of eye-tracking studies Using an ETS and overlaid with the website being tested, you will have a hotspot map that will show how long a person looked at an area of the site, where they looked, where they didn't look and other similar data. The hotspot map is colour coded to represent intensity and generally indicate interest from the user.

Using the hotspot map, a website owner can analyze and possibly explain why some products are performing less than others of the same nature. It may all very well be a question of exposure: a product or keyword that is not seen will not sell or be read. If you place your call to action in an area where nobody is really looking, your message may have been just lost. If your visitors are actually looking into the products but never really perform any actions or inquire about it, perhaps the descriptions need tuning. In any case, knowing how your visitors look at your site will enable you to find the problems and create solutions for them immediately.

The golden triangle Some researchers have pointed out that a lot of eye activity in a site forms a golden triangle of sorts that emanate from the upper left portion of the webpage and whose legs connect the midpoints of the top width and the left length of the page. It is possible that search engines are using this very same data to fine tune their ranking algorithms; in particular it may be that keywords placed in this golden triangle will get higher scores than keywords placed at the lowest portions of the page. There is no conclusive evidence, but knowing how the search engines aggressively incorporate new research to deliver more relevant search results, it is very likely that this is true.

We can use this information to our advantage by placing keywords on these locations. Even if the search engines do not really incorporate this research into their algorithms, the visitor will still be influenced by your keyword location. If you are not looking into keyword placement but rather product placement in your categories, this area is a prime candidate for your products that have the highest margins.

You can also use this data in situating your search box. In most studies and research, it has been found that once a user gives up trying to reach a desired resource through normal navigational means, he or she will resort to a search. You do not want your visitor going back to Google and searching there since they may very likely land on one of your competitors' sites. Place your search box on the upper left corner of your page to ensure visibility.

The F-shaped pattern Some studies also indicate a different pattern when presented with a text-heavy page. Visitors will often quickly skim across the top of a page, go down and to the left, go to the right and across subheadings, and then go back to the left and continue scanning down, forming an F shaped pattern.

This eye tracking data supports the common advice given by search engine optimization experts: use subheadings when possible, and write short and to the point paragraphs. Since headings are given more view time by readers, it may also be more effective to put your keywords in the headings and, if possible, the first sentences to maximize exposure.

Additionally, the F-shaped pattern also means that very text-heavy pages will not be read in their entirety. Unless you specialize in providing information (such as wikis or encyclopaedias) try to keep text to a minimum. Overwhelming your visitor with walls of text is not only a usability problem, but search engines may even penalize you if your text looks like you are stuffing keywords. Other behavioural patterns ere are other behavioural patterns resulting from various published eye tracking research:

·Reading only the first half of a headline and then moving on. Most of the time, headlines are only read halfway and thus it is more effective to place your keywords at the front half of headlines.

·Making a decision regarding a site's quality in just a little over 50 milliseconds and then keeping this opinion in mind while browsing through the rest of the site. This means that you need to grab your visitor's attention immediately by providing a good, aesthetic layout and spell-checking your content. A few misspelled words will often drive down your site's quality in the visitor's mind even if the rest of the site is impeccable.

·Focusing on images and photographs. A picture can help influence a visitor by driving attention towards areas that you want them to see. Simple graphs, charts, or even a funny cartoon can help your content drive down a point because a visitor scanning a page will naturally stop at these illustrations. Use images and pictures strategically and put your keywords near them.

Ten Bad Driving Habits

We advocate a people-centered, promoting civilized car, first of all to do give way to pedestrians, Here are uncivilized drive, not to people-oriented, not the ten habits give way to pedestrians, initiatives, every driver can be borne in mind, inspection and correct bad habits.

Bad habits one: crosswalk lines to prevent lines before the

Crosswalk pedestrians crossing the road line is a legitimate channel pedestrians to cross the road, may have come from very far away of the crosswalk line, the drivers often disregard pedestrians where to wait, do not slow down, to prevent lines, or even to speed up and pedestrians grab Road. I often encountered clay in the right lane to wait for pedestrians crossing the road when the car is a left-lane vehicles, forging ahead and behind the car will flash headlights, honking.

Encounter the following situations in particular, let line:

1, the embrace of the baby

2 minors to cross the road

3, the elderly crossing the road

4, blind to cross the road

5, wheelchair to cross the road

6, a group of people crossing the roads

Bad habits 2: crossing the parking

Often have this situation, the event in front of vehicles waiting in line, the team has to go through a crosswalk lines, traffic regulations and requirements are stopped at the stop line before the crosswalk, which is the driver should do on a body position, give pedestrians easy to cross the street may be some driver who must be stopped at the crosswalk line. Sometimes, before the waiting line of figurines in the crosswalk, next to a rigid plug into the car in front of me is really funny.

Bad Habits 3, turn right keep straight non-motor vehicles and pedestrians

A large number of traffic accidents are pedestrians in the vehicle turn right and go straight ahead when the place, and the event will normally result in casualties, and highly destructive. There are still many vehicles can turn right when, despite the release of non-motor vehicles and pedestrians, with looting Road, very uncivilized.

Bad Habits 4, case of water does not slow down, splashes a spray

If you are walking on the street, is fast and the vehicle had thrown mud, wet dirty and what you feel.

Bad habits 5: in the evening will be no change in their car near to the light

The bad habits including motor vehicles will be cars, and non-motor vehicles will be cars, but also very dangerous and inhumane, are you the name of headlights on the vehicles to the road ahead will be to see the situation unclear, very prone to traffic accidents, injuries innocent.

Bad habits6, residential-ri press Speaker

Pressed the horn to remind front of the district where the pedestrian avoidance, district where press speaker urging them, pressed the case of roads have been stall horn reminders vehicles and others are very uncivilized phenomenon estate is one place to rest, should give the people to a quiet environment.

Bad habits 7: when they encounter the same direction next to the vehicle suddenly slow down or stop, not slow down

In the same direction next to the vehicle suddenly slow down or stop, it may be because their own reasons, but more likely there is a pedestrian or non-motor vehicles and other special circumstances, this time does not slow down, rushed next door to front of the vehicle, most likely resulting in the heavy casualties.

Habits 8, the event bus stops did not slow down

After the bus stop is when people get on and off, this time, pedestrians will suddenly from the bus suddenly sprang to the front or the back, this time for me to slow down to observe, to ensure that no harm pedestrians.

Bad Habits 9, sidewalks, parking Blind

Further difficulties, and do not park on the sidewalk and the Blind, where pedestrians a place that you seize the pedestrian path, pedestrians would have to go motor Road, resulting in insecurity.

Bad habits 10, green light, when released, grab Road and pedestrian

Release green light when the looting Road and pedestrians, there are pedestrian crosswalk line, when it should await the pedestrian has completed. Green clearance is also very dangerous when you grab Road, next to the vehicle may be blocking the line of sight, so the event of release green light, do not accelerate too fast.

Control check, do you have these ten bad habits? If you often have two or more of them, it is necessary to conduct self-review. Drive people-oriented, begin from correcting these ten bad habits.

Live a Life beyond Six Situations

There is one book on my desk during the whole summer, Little Price, written by French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery. I never read it. I thought it is fairy tale and it’s for children. Recently, I read the book by chance. And I was shocked: it’s not a fairy tale at all; however, the image of writer and little prince was printed on the bank note of 50 francs!

I read it once and I felt it incredible. With a child’s note and sight, the writer wrote a story for adults. The little prince has been to six plants. He saw six people. And the six people present six kind of man in the world. In my opinion, these six types can reflect 90% people and their lives in the whole world:

The first class is those who have power and are whelmed in the happiness of being insufferably arrogant. There is a king who advises the little prince to put an old rat on trail. That’s screamingly funny. Mock human’s stupid behavior.

The second class is vain people. In his eyes, all of others should be his admirer. He must make others admit that he is the richest, the smartest and the most beautiful man in the world.

The third class is muddleheaded people. They are Alcoholic.

The forth class is greedy people. They indulged in computation and occupancy. They spend most of time in their life to count money. They really want to own stars: “because there is no one want to own them before me.”

The fifth class is conformist. He is dedicated to do things according to the rules. And he has never thought to change the rules. He has never thought he could stop doing this thing, either.

The sixth class is cold fish. He has knowledge. But, he has no interest on other things except what he is working on. And he doesn’t know how to appreciate the beauty.

If we want to live a beautiful life, we should look for it beyond these six situations.
